HDGUARD is a hard drive back up and restore utility for Windows. It is hard to put this application in a particular software category. This program installs in your system pretty quickly and will memorize every change that you make to your system. When you restart, the application will erase all those changes so that you get a clean and fast system, every single time. Applications like this are probably better suited for public computers. In my case, I want to be able to make changes to my system and still be able to reboot from time to time. Of course, you can disable the restoration of your system and only do it when you feel like it, but there isn't any protection there now, is there? The application is really light-weight, since it will not really make an image of your disk, but make a long list of every single change that you make. Also, the hard drive space that the application will take is not really much. All in all, if you are bound to making silly mistakes and don't care to start over every time you reboot your computer, this application could help. |
